This studio flat had been affected by damp and mould and required a full refurbishment to bring it back to a safe and usable condition. The project began with a full clearance of the existing space, removing all damaged materials and taking the property back to a clean starting point.
A new sub-base floor was installed to provide a solid foundation throughout. The walls were treated, bonded where needed, and fully reskimmed to create a smooth surface. A mist coat was then applied to seal the new plaster and prepare for decoration.
The existing kitchen was fully removed, including units, worktops, and appliances. The area was then prepared for installation, with adjustments made to plumbing and electrics to suit the new layout. A new kitchen was fitted, including base and wall units, worktops, and appliance connections. Tiling was also installed in the kitchen area to provide a durable, easy-to-clean finish.
Additional works included fitting an FD30 fire-rated door and carrying out necessary updates to the plumbing and electrical systems.
All existing flooring was removed, with new carpets installed in the living space and new vinyl fitted in the kitchen area. The project was completed with full redecoration in a white matt finish, leaving a clean and modern space ready for use.
